Terms of use
Plain language, describing how the platform actually behaves.
1. What EventCrew is
EventCrew connects hosts who need event staff with verified workers. We hold the host's payment in escrow and release it to workers once the work is done. We are the platform and the escrow holder — we are not the worker's employer.
2. Money we hold
Payment for an event is held in platform escrow until the work is completed and confirmed. It is not our money while we hold it. Unspent escrow returns to the host's wallet; earned money moves to the worker's wallet.
3. What hosts agree to
To pay the full staff budget and tax before an event becomes visible; to confirm attendance honestly; and to pay for extra hours in advance if you ask workers to stay longer. Cancelling a confirmed booking may owe the affected workers compensation.
4. What workers agree to
To turn up for shifts you have confirmed, to check in and out honestly, and to accept that late cancellation affects your reliability score and may create a claim against future earnings. It never touches money you have already earned.
5. Verification
Applying for work requires a verified identity. We check documents through a licensed verification partner. We do not store your Aadhaar number in readable form.
6. Disputes
Either side may raise a dispute within 7 days of a completed job. The disputed booking's money is held while it is reviewed; every other booking at that event is paid normally. Our decision is based on the attendance evidence the platform recorded.
7. Suspension
We may suspend an account for fraud, repeated no-shows, abuse or safety concerns. A suspended or banned worker never forfeits money they have already earned.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Changes affect future bookings only — the terms in force when a booking was confirmed continue to govern it.
This is a plain-language summary of how the platform works, not a completed legal agreement. A full contract should be reviewed by counsel before launch.
